I didn’t set out to build a brand—I set out to build a better life.
This blog is where three important parts of my world come together: wellness, cats, and pinball. They may seem unrelated, but each one has shaped who I am and how I keep moving forward.
On September 1st, 2025, I began a wellness journey focused on consistency, not perfection. Since then, I’ve lost 20 pounds, with more to go. I walk five days a week, exercise, eat healthier, and learn—daily—how patience and persistence matter more than timelines.
Pinball is another place where those lessons show up. I compete in tournaments and leagues, and I’m proud to have placed 2nd in the Arizona State Pinball Championship (2025–2026). Right now, I’m working toward qualifying for the Open Pinball Championships, navigating the wins, losses, focus, and frustration that come with competitive play.
And then there are the cats—five of them. Two were rescued almost two years ago at just four days old, eyes closed, umbilical cords still attached, needing bottle feeding and constant care. Their survival, growth, and personalities are a daily reminder of resilience, responsibility, and love.
This blog is about real progress, real setbacks, and the things that keep us going. I’ll be sharing stories, photos, and videos from my wellness journey, competitive pinball life, and my home full of whiskers and chaos.
If you’re here for honesty, growth, inspiration, or just a good cat story—you’re welcome here.
About me
About me. Hi, I’m Christy—a freshly minted 50-year-old mama of four, grammy of one, competitive pinball player, cat wrangler to five very amazing cats, and navigating perimenopause with determination, humor, and a whole lot of heart.
In September of 2025, I decided it was time to step up my game—literally and figuratively. I started focusing on my health, my energy, and my lifestyle. So far, I’ve lost 20 pounds, with more to go, but this journey isn’t just about a number on a scale. It’s about feeling better in my body, having the energy to chase my grandbaby, travel to see my kids, explore the world, and stop feeling weighed down by discomfort—physically and mentally.
Wellness at 50 looks different than it did at 30, especially while navigating perimenopause, and I’m learning to work with my body instead of against it. This blog is where I share that journey honestly—the wins, the setbacks, and everything in between.
Then there’s pinball. What started in 2019 as a fun empty-nest activity with my husband quickly turned into a passion and a competitive outlet I never saw coming. I discovered a quirky, welcoming community, joined leagues, found my people, and fell in love with the challenge. I’m proud to say I’ve qualified for the Arizona Women’s State Pinball Championships four years in a row—and in my fourth year, I earned second place overall. My next goal? Competing in the open state tournament and seeing just how far I can go.
Pinball has taken us across states, into incredible arcades and venues, and connected us with an amazing global community of players. It’s strategy, focus, resilience—and a lot of fun.
And of course, there are the cats. Five of them. Each with a personality bigger than the last. From Mr. T, our black-cat OG, to Monkey the tabby (equal parts loving and terrifying), to Willow the fluffy gray sweetheart, and finally Xena and Gabby—two tiny kittens rescued straight out of the road on my way to pinball league night. They were four days old, eyes closed, umbilical cords still attached, and they’ve been part of our family ever since. Chaos? Yes. Regrets? Never.
This blog is where all of that comes together: wellness, cats, and pinball—with honesty, humor, and real life in between. If you’re navigating midlife changes, chasing better health, obsessed with your pets, curious about competitive pinball, or just looking for a place that feels real and welcoming, you’re in the right place.
Thanks for being here. 🖤
